Midjourney's Style Reference (--sref) is a powerful feature that allows you to apply the visual style of an existing image to your Midjourney prompts.
By providing a URL of an image you want to reference, Midjourney will analyze its colors, composition, textures, and overall atmosphere, and incorporate those elements into the generated image.
Obtain the URL of the image you want to use as a style reference. This can be an image from your own gallery, Discord, or anywhere online.
In your Midjourney prompt, add --sref followed by a space and the URL of the reference image. For example:
a futuristic city at night --ar 16:9 --sref https://example.com/image.jpg
Optionally, you can adjust the Style Weight (--sw) parameter to control the influence of the style reference, ranging from 0 to 1000 (default is 100).
You can reference multiple images by adding their URLs consecutively, separated by spaces.
To assign different weights to each reference image, use the format --sref urlA::weight urlB::weight.
By leveraging --sref, you can consistently generate images in a specific style aesthetic, effectively replicating the color grading and overall aesthetics of the reference image. This feature is a game-changer for digital artists, allowing for more control and consistency in their artwork.
